Every family has stories worth sharing and preserving, as I discovered when my family and I gathered in Hamilton, Bermuda, to celebrate my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. It was during this event that Mom and Dad shared, for the first time, the astonishing story of their escape from Nazi-occupied Europe.
